Austin Auditors offers affordable nationwide REScheck online report preparation. A REScheck Report is a simplified method for validating compliance with the IECC Building Code (International Energy Compliance Code). Most permitting agencies require a ResCheck as part of the permitting process.
REScheck reports can be performed on new construction homes, remodels or additions to give you insulation and window trade-off calculations
- Residential detached one- and two-family buildings
- Multi-family builds three stories or less in height above grade, such as apartments, condominiums, and townhouses.
Ordering your REScheck
We generally need one week to prepare your ResCheck. If you are in a rush, let us know. To order your ResCheck, give us a call or send us an email.
To complete the REScheck we will need the following information:
- Address and permitting entity
- A PDF of the plans. Plans need to include window size and location, scaled drawings, slab drawings, roof plans and elevations.
- Insulation Type and R-Value for the attic or roof deck, walls and crawl space or slab
- Window SHGC and U-Values
- Door SHGC and U-Values if glass or R-Values if solid
- HVAC type (gas, heat pump etc) and SEER value
- Door SHGC and U-Values if glass or R-Values if solid
- Home orientation if not on the plans
- IEEC Code Year for your location
