Hours of Monday through Friday from 10:00AM until 6:00PM and Saturday and Sunday from 9:00AM until 5:00PM, but drop-off is available 24/7.
Batteries, computers, hazardous waste, and motor oil don't belong in the trash. Neither do recyclable plastics, paper, glass, etc. If you need to dispose of limited quantities of batteries, hazardous waste, or motor oil, they can be dropped off at the City of Austin and Travis County Household Hazardous Waste Facility located at 2514 Business Center Drive, Austin, TX 78744.

Saturday Class at the Natural Gardener
Saturday from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AMLocated at 8648 Old Bee Cave Road. A free class each week on a variety of topics. All classes are subject to change, call first to confirm. Classes are held outdoors, so dress for the weather. Arrive early for best seating. Seating is limited – you are welcome to bring your own chair.

Zilker Preserve Restoration
Workdays will be held a few times a month at Zilker Preserve on Saturday mornings from 8:30-11:00 AM. A typical workday consists of removing various invasive species, including Nandina, Japanese Privet, and Chinaberry among other species. Once the species are removed using the respective removal methods, the City of Austin will help with planting native species to restore Zilker to its natural state.
